Refund Policy
InControl doesn't charge for anything yet. Paid plans aren't live, no payment method is collected, and no one has been billed. This policy is published in advance so you can read it before you ever hand over a card; it takes effect on the day paid plans launch, and it's from Alan Wizemann, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
How billing will work
When paid plans launch, payments will be processed by Stripe. We won't store your card number — Stripe holds it, and we see only the last four digits, the card brand, and whether a charge succeeded. Plans will be month-to-month and will renew automatically each month until you cancel, and we'll email you a receipt for every charge.
Your first charge: 14 days, no questions
If you're unhappy for any reason within 14 days of your first subscription charge, email us and we'll refund it in full. You don't have to explain why, and we won't try to talk you out of it.
Renewals: 7 days, pro-rata
Automatic renewals are refundable pro-rata within 7 days of the charge — you're refunded for the unused portion of the period, and access ends when the refund is issued. After that 7-day window a renewal isn't refundable, but you can cancel so it doesn't happen again.
If a renewal genuinely caught you off guard — you hadn't used the product at all since it renewed, say — write to us anyway. We'd rather sort it out than have you file a chargeback.
Cancelling
You'll be able to cancel at any time from the app's billing settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; it doesn't end the period you've already paid for. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period, and then the account drops to the free tier. Your data isn't deleted by cancelling — see the Privacy Policy for how deletion works.
How to request a refund
- Email hello@getincontrol.com from the email address on the account — that's how we verify it's you.
- Tell us which charge you mean (the date and amount from your receipt).
- That's it. We'll confirm by email, usually within one business day, and let you know what we've issued.
Processing time
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method — we can't send a refund anywhere else. Expect 5–10 business days for it to appear on your statement once we've issued it; the exact timing is up to your bank or card issuer, not us. Currency conversion or foreign transaction fees charged by your bank are outside our control and aren't part of the refund.
What isn't refundable
- Accounts terminated for violating the Terms of Service.
- Repeat refunds on the same account — the 14-day window is for a genuine first try, not a recurring free month.
- Charges older than the windows above, other than where consumer law in your country gives you a longer right. Where it does, that law wins and we'll honor it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Any change applies to charges made after the update, never retroactively to one you've already paid. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when this version was published.
